Mold Damage – Lilburn

Mold damage at this Lilburn home’s laundry room was the result of the washing machine's drainage hose leaking and subsequently soaking the wall cavity. The leak went unnoticed for several weeks leading to a sizable mold growth to develop. SERVPRO of North Lilburn was called in to remediate the mold damage. WE first had to tear out the damaged portion of drywall because it was not salvageable and also to allow us to dry and treat the impacted area of the room properly. We used industrial fans and dehumidifiers to dry the affected areas and once dried we cleaned and then treated the area with a biocide to inhibit future mold growth. The after photo showed the cleaned and treated drywall studs awaiting the rebuild.
